OWH monthly challenge for June and Sketch #175

Time for another sporadic update!  This time I'm participating in the Operation Write Home monthly Our Daily Bread Designs challenge and the weekly sketch.

Here is my design for the Our Daily Bread Designs June challenge of water.  I've had these dolphins sitting in my stash for a good long while now and I thought this was the perfect use of them.  I've had the papers just as long so I have no idea who the manufacturers are.

Now on to the weekly sketch.  OWH is up to #175.  Here is the sketch...

and here is my take on it.  I did two versions.

I decided to change the 4 1-inch squares into one large square and use up some chipboard stickers I had.  These are from the My Mind's Eye Follow your Heart "Be Amazing" line that I won in a class at Scrapfest.  The background paper on the second card is October Afternoon, I picked it up at their warehouse sale last October.

  1. Great use of those chip boards, I'm never sure how to use them. TFS!

  2. Great job on using stuff out of your stash. Making room for new stuff, right? LOL My favorite is the last one, for no reason other than my brain can't move away from clean and simple. I'm trying, though! Thanks for sharing!

  3. What a great idea to use chipboard pcs for the squares! And now I have James Taylor in my head... :)

  4. Great cards, Joann! Those dolphins look so fun, glad you were able to use them and the papers finally. :) Like the chipboard statements! Thanks for another example to use them. Thanks for sharing. LOL @ Jessie, I too, lol.

  5. Great cards. Not sure which one I like the best. Tfs!!!
