SCT-Spellbinders sketch contest

I was reading through my blogs in feedly and I saw this contest to create a layout based on this sketch.  I'm currently working through a box of old pictures I'd printed and thought this would work out well for my duck layout.

These pictures were taken in early April 2005.

To create the layout I used:
Stampin' Up - 5 petal flower,  Cricut craftroom to cut the title, various jewels and buttons and these

Bazzill - 12 x 12 Cardstock - Criss Cross Texture - Cream Puff
Bazzill cardstock - Cream Puff

Fancy Pants Designs - My Family Collection - 12 x 12 Paper Kit
My Family paper pack from Fancy Pants Designs (I got this 48 sheet pack of 12x12 papers for $3.99 at Archiver's.  Unbelieveable.)

Limited Edition - Fresh Decor - LE7789
Art Warehouse - Fresh Decor
Boho Blossoms Punch
Stampin' Up - Boho Blossom punch

Modern flowering flourishes

One of the blogs I follow had such a beautiful card on it I had to CASE it right away.  Also, I needed a couple of anniversary cards.

The original card is using a stamp from Stampin' Up that I don't have so I used a clear stamp which turns out to be much easier for this.  I started with the top layer where I traced a rectangle in pencil to know where to put the stamp.  After stamping, I erased the pencil and retraced in black ink.  I then layered it on black and placed it on the card base.

I used a stamp from the Inkadinkado Modern Flower Flourish stamp set, red crumpled paper given to me by a friend and the punches are all Stampin' Up.

Operation Write Home - Midweek Throwdown Challenge ... Water

When I saw the theme of the challenge, I wasn't thrilled.  I don't have many water stamps and I didn't like my water card for the Our Daily Bread Designs monthly challenge... then I looked at the cards others had linked in and I remembered the cute My Favorite Things stamps with the bunny in the rain and on a boat.  Woo Hoo!  I had something to participate with!

The stamp is a retired one from My Favorite Things that was a fund raiser for OWH.  The paper is again from the October Afternoon warehouse sale (I got 250 sheets so I've got to use it eventually) and the solid is Bazzill's Admiral.  I paper pieced the umbrella and the rainboots then I colored in the bunny with Spectrum Noir IG1and PP1.

OWH monthly challenge for June and Sketch #175

Time for another sporadic update!  This time I'm participating in the Operation Write Home monthly Our Daily Bread Designs challenge and the weekly sketch.

Here is my design for the Our Daily Bread Designs June challenge of water.  I've had these dolphins sitting in my stash for a good long while now and I thought this was the perfect use of them.  I've had the papers just as long so I have no idea who the manufacturers are.

Now on to the weekly sketch.  OWH is up to #175.  Here is the sketch...

and here is my take on it.  I did two versions.

I decided to change the 4 1-inch squares into one large square and use up some chipboard stickers I had.  These are from the My Mind's Eye Follow your Heart "Be Amazing" line that I won in a class at Scrapfest.  The background paper on the second card is October Afternoon, I picked it up at their warehouse sale last October.
