Let's Scrap - Scrapbook Frenzy Challenge

I signed up to play the Scrapbook Frenzy Challenge over on Let's Scrap.  The challenge is to only use products in the Clique Kit to make these four sketches.  I've got to say I found these sketches challenging.  I don't use many circles in my scrapbooking.

Here are the sketches:

And here is my take on the sketches.  I did two double page layouts.

Mojo Monday Sketch 394 (MOJO394)

I keep planning to try more challenges but I never seem to get the pictures loaded and linked.  Maybe this post will be the start of a new pattern...well, I can hope.  :)

I created my card using sketch 394 from the Mojo Monday blog.
I really liked all the layers on this card and decided to use some of my Stampin' Up paper stack.  I just love Coastal Cabana and Real Red together.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake and the papers are from the Fresh Prints Designer Series paper stack.  I stamped the label using Real Red and the Four Frames stamp set, the trees are from the Serene Silhouettes stamp set and stamped in Early Espresso.  The happy birthday is from Papertrey Ink's Inside & Out: Birthday stamp set.  I punched the label with the Decorative Label punch, the flower using the Petite Petals punch and the scallop punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.  The ribbon is Woven Satin Ribbon in Real Red.  For the Crumb Cake panel, I embossed it with the Spellbinders Simplicity M-bossabilities.

CAS(E) this Sketch #105

I thought it would be fun to try playing alone with some challenges.  I'm using up some scraps left over from the Apron Strings 2014 – September Smaller than a Breadbox kit.

Here is the sketch I was following from CAS(E) this Sketch.

And here is my card:

Shhh, don't tell my nephew Jakob because this is going to him in September.

OWH December ODBD Challenge

I noticed that the Operation Write Home's Our Daily Bread Design monthly challenge was short a few cards, so I actually took a picture of my card and I'm posting it.  The challenge was to use red, blue and yellow.

I used the My Mind's Eye Boy Crazy paper I got from A Cherry On Top's Black Friday sale.  The stamp is from Inkadinkado's Vintage Expressions set.  The start is a punch from Fiskars and they are both covered with glossy accents.

OWH Card Bowl 2014!!!!

It's been a while since I participated in a challenge but I thought this sounded fun.

The first challenge was from the card bowl blog post.

Masculine Ode to the teams! Make a masculine card – for men, teens, or little boys – in any OWH-approved theme. And make your card somehow reflect either the Seahawks or Broncos. Use their colors, something about their city, their mascot – get creative!

I wanted to use a "Bronco" but I didn't have a horse stamp.  So, I went western and kinda blue and orange.
Join in the ODBD challenge on this blog SATURDAY and make yours a masculine card.

OWH VCMP Challenge #4

This challenge for the OWH VCMP was to make a love card using sketch #29.

Here is my version using the Authentique 6x6 Lovely bundle collection that I recently got on clearance at Archiver's.  Gotta love clearance!

Good thing I posted this to Pinterest or I wouldn't have noticed the words were upside down.  It's fixed now.  :)

OWH VCMP Challenge #3

This challenge for the OWH VCMP was to use one piece of patterned paper and die cut it to make the triple stamped card look.  I decided to use my cricut for this since that would make it easier.

I have no idea where the patterned paper is from.  I found it while sorting all my paper last Monday.  the blue is the retired Not Quite Navy from Stampin' Up.   I also attached a little butterfly charm that can be taken off and kept.
